December 2025 December 2026
The National Association of Future Ballers™ announced the launch of the Future Baller™ 2026 Closed Alpha Project, a privately funded research initiative examining Meta’s upfront data collection practices in K–12 education environments. The study is explicitly scoped to evaluate alignment with Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) best practices, rather than statutory enforcement or regulatory adjudication.
The project will operate as a closed-alpha examination, outside public pilots and limited to controlled participation. Findings will be published through Baller.Today and archived in FutureBaller.Org — The Magazine (ISSN 3068-7489).
Study Objective
The project is designed to:
- Assess Meta’s K–12-facing data practices against KOSA-aligned best-practice standards
- Identify non-transparent or high-risk data collection at initial user touchpoints
- Produce governance-grade documentation to inform institutional oversight and compliance planning
Scope of Examination
The study will focus on best-practice alignment across:
- Persistent data tracking behaviors
- Front-end onboarding and sign-up flows
- Initial user data entry and consent architecture
- Contact import and cross-platform access pathways
- Data dissemination and retention practices
- K–12 privacy risk exposure under KOSA frameworks
Observed Data Collection Pathway
User sign-up → initial data entry → consent and opt-out toggles → contact import → cross-platform access → downstream data dissemination.
Research Capacity
The project is privately funded and supported by 2,789 MBA-level project managers executing standardized analysis and documentation workflows.
Population Context
The examination is informed by national participation and access conditions, including:
- 2.1 millionyouth disengaging from school annually
- 3.55 millionyouth exiting organized sports each year
- 14.3 millionchildren raised by single mothers
Publication and Record
All verified findings will be released via Baller.Today and preserved as part of the permanent scholarly record through FutureBaller.Org.
